In the near future, TSMC intends to adjust the pricing for one of its leading-edge manufacturing processes. According to reports, the forthcoming weeks will witness a significant uptick in wafer prices, driven by escalating costs associated with constructing fabs abroad, particularly in the United States, as well as the necessity to fund capital expenditures ranging from $38 billion to $42 billion this year. Notably, the price of TSMC's 2nm process wafers is poised to increase by 10%, jumping from an estimated $30,000 last year to $33,000. Furthermore, the foundry giant also plans to hike prices for its 4-nanometer manufacturing node by a margin of 10% to 30%.
