Amidst the world's heavy reliance on GPS, China is vigorously promoting its independently developed BeiDou Navigation Satellite System. According to CCTV News, BeiDou has been seamlessly integrated into the standard systems of 11 international organizations encompassing civil aviation, maritime affairs, and mobile communications, and it continues to broaden its international reach. To date, over 30 African nations, including Nigeria, have established BeiDou Continuous Operating Reference Stations (CORS).
