GlobalWafers announced on May 16 that its state-of-the-art 12-inch wafer fabrication facility in Sherman, Texas, USA, has officially commenced operations, with plans to invest an additional $4 billion in the United States. To date, the total investment in the plant stands at $3.5 billion, and it is anticipated to employ up to 650 highly skilled professionals by the end of 2028. In response to growing market demand, GlobalWafers intends to further expand its operations.
