Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) has commenced its share offering in Hong Kong, inviting subscriptions from investors, and is on track to secure the title of the world's largest initial public offering (IPO) this year. On Monday, CATL announced on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that it intends to raise up to HK$41 billion (approximately US$5.3 billion). Pursuant to the initial offering plan, the company aims to raise a maximum of HK$31 billion, with the potential to reach HK$41 billion if the offering is upsized and the greenshoe option is exercised.
