GIGABYTE's latest X870/B850 AORUS Stealth ICE motherboards have undergone a revolutionary upgrade in M.2 SSD cooling, markedly boosting heat dissipation capabilities. Traditional M.2 heat sinks are limited in their effectiveness, primarily cooling the main control chip and single-sided flash memory, with subpar performance for double-sided flash memory and potential issues with back heat sink contact. To address these challenges, GIGABYTE introduces a patented flexible baseplate known as "M.2 EZ-Flex," which intelligently adapts to both single-sided and double-sided SSDs. This innovative design ensures a snug fit between the heat sink and SSD via an elastic pressure structure, achieving a remarkable temperature reduction of up to 12°C. Additionally, the motherboards are equipped with M.2 Thermal Guard L and M.2 Thermal Guard Ext., further expanding the cooling area and comprehensively lowering M.2 SSD temperatures.
