MIIT Reports: China's Above-Scale Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry Witnesses 11.5% Year-on-Year Growth in Q1

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released data indicating that the added value of China's above-scale electronic information manufacturing industry surged by 11.5% year-on-year in the first quarter. This growth rate outpaced the industrial sector by 5 percentage points and the high-tech manufacturing industry by 1.8 percentage points. In March alone, the growth rate accelerated to 13.1%. Regarding the output of key products, microcomputer equipment saw a 7.5% increase, integrated circuits grew by 6%, whereas smartphone production declined by 1.1% year-on-year.
