The tariff dispute between China and the United States in the semiconductor chip sector persists. Recent rumors suggest that the China Customs has internally announced the exemption of tariffs on certain US-manufactured chips. Specifically, only US-made integrated circuit chips with storage functions (HS CODE tax number 854232) will be subject to a retaliatory tariff of 125%, while chips with control functions, amplification functions, and other capabilities will be excluded from this tariff. It is important to note, however, that these rumors have yet to be officially confirmed.
