The lesser-known GPU brand Zephyr has recently unveiled two RX 6500 graphics cards built upon AMD's architecture, even though AMD has not officially launched this specific GPU model yet. Currently, only the slightly higher-end RX 6500 XT and the modest RX 6400 are available. Among Zephyr's offerings, the RX 6500 LP boasts a compact half-height blade design with a solitary turbo fan, measuring 167×68×18 millimeters and occupying just a single slot, making it ideal for space-constrained environments. The other model, the RX 6500 DUAL ITX, sports a dual-fan cooling design with a sleek length of 171 millimeters, perfect for mini-ITX cases. Both GPUs leverage the RDNA 2 architecture and are powered by the Navi 24 core chip, featuring 1024 stream processors and 64-bit 4GB GDDR6 memory. Despite their lower operating frequencies compared to the RX 6500 XT, they significantly cut down power consumption from 107W to just 55W, eliminating the need for an auxiliary power supply. Pricing details are yet to be disclosed, but they are anticipated to be quite budget-friendly.
