On April 18, media outlets revealed that Intel's newly appointed CEO, Pat Gelsinger, is streamlining the company's leadership structure, mandating that key chipset divisions report directly to him. Concurrently, Sachin Katti, previously the director of network chips, has been elevated to the position of Chief Technology Officer and Artificial Intelligence Officer. This significant move marks Gelsinger's first major strategic decision since assuming office last month. As a result, Intel's data centers, AI chipsets, and PC chipsets departments will now report directly to Gelsinger.
