On February 10, 2025, China Unicom unveiled its 5G-Advanced action plan in Harbin, setting a target to establish continuous 5G-Advanced coverage in pivotal scenarios across 300 cities by the end of 2025. This ambitious plan is designed to push the boundaries of 5G capabilities and deliver an unparalleled service experience with data rates of 5 to 10 Gbps. To achieve this, China Unicom will deploy a "four-pillar" network architecture and enhance its "four-integration" capabilities. Leveraging the world's largest mid-band TDD+FDD aggregated bandwidth and a combination of mid-band and millimeter wave bandwidths, China Unicom aims to invigorate digital lifestyles and elevate industrial digital intelligence to new heights.
