The Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones have been outfitted with a bespoke version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This decision hints at the ongoing challenges Samsung faces in scaling up production yields of advanced nodes, essential for mass-producing the Exynos 2500 chips. Nevertheless, recent reports suggest that Samsung may have secured ample supplies of the Exynos 2500 and intends to integrate them into the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphone. Initially, Samsung had planned to incorporate the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy S25 series but shelved those plans due to a disappointing yield rate of less than 20% for the 3nm process and suboptimal power consumption performance, ultimately opting for Qualcomm chips instead.
