At the World Economic Forum, Ashwini Vaishnaw, India's Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology, revealed that the country's inaugural "Made in India" chip, manufactured using a 28-nanometer process, is poised for launch in August or September of this year. The Minister further emphasized India's dedication to fostering a semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem by enticing equipment suppliers, material manufacturers, and designers to establish their presence in the nation.
