India's National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has severely criticized labor officials for their failure to conduct a thorough investigation into allegations of employment discrimination at Foxconn's Indian factory. The NHRC has demanded a fresh and comprehensive review of the matter. According to reports, Foxconn systematically excludes married women from employment opportunities at the factory. The NHRC emphasized that labor officials have neglected to address the fundamental issue of discrimination against married women during the recruitment process and has ordered a detailed investigation to be completed within four weeks. To date, neither Foxconn nor Apple has issued a response to these allegations.
