Recently, a powerful 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck southern Taiwan, prompting Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) to swiftly take action by evacuating staff and halting production at its central and southern facilities. Specifically, the earthquake measured a magnitude of 5 in the Southern Science Park, 4 in the Central Science Park, and 3 in the Hsinchu plant. TSMC emphasized that the safety of its employees is paramount, and in accordance with emergency protocols, all factories were evacuated and building safety inspections were conducted.
