China has uncovered an ultra-large ion-adsorption rare earth deposit in the Honghe region of Yunnan Province, boasting potential resources totaling 1.15 million tons. Notably, over 470,000 tons of this total comprise key rare earth elements, positioning this find as potentially China's largest medium-heavy rare earth deposit. This discovery holds immense significance for reinforcing China's preeminent position in rare earth resources and enhancing the efficiency of its rare earth industrial chain.
