The renowned intellectual property website Patently has issued the report titled "Top 100 Rights Holders of Global 5G Standard Essential Patents in 2025," with Huawei firmly securing the top spot. According to the report, the top ten holders of these patents globally are, in order, Huawei, Qualcomm, Samsung, LG, Ericsson, ZTE, Nokia, OPPO, Datang Telecom, and vivo. As of early 2025, the total number of established 5G standard essential patent families worldwide stood at approximately 56,000, with Huawei holding a substantial 15% share, significantly outpacing other manufacturers.
