AMEC Semiconductor Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AMEC") has recently unveiled plans to invest in the establishment of a wholly-owned subsidiary, AMEC Semiconductor Equipment (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., located in Chengdu's High-tech Zone. This strategic move aims to establish a hub for research and development (R&D), production, and regional headquarters operations in the southwest of China. AMEC emphasized that this initiative will propel the company's integrated circuit equipment business forward, significantly bolster its R&D capabilities and production capacities, and reinforce its position as a leader in the high-end semiconductor equipment sector. The projected total investment for this endeavor is approximately RMB 3.05 billion, spanning from 2025 to 2030, with the objective of fulfilling the R&D and production requirements for advanced logic and memory chips.
