Samsung Electronics' semiconductor division is currently facing challenges, as its flagship Exynos chips encounter delays in mass production due to suboptimal yield rates in advanced manufacturing processes. In an effort to mitigate this issue, Samsung has contemplated outsourcing the production of its Exynos processors. However, TSMC, a leading player in advanced manufacturing with high yield rates, has reportedly rejected the contract manufacturing proposal, citing concerns over potential technology leakage. Notably, TSMC plans to embark on large-scale production of 2nm technology in the latter half of this year.
