A spokesperson from the Ministry of Commerce has recently addressed a series of trade restriction measures imposed by the United States against China. The spokesperson emphasized that the Biden administration has intensified its efforts to roll out multiple trade restrictions affecting China in its remaining term. These measures include tightening export controls on semiconductors to China, banning the use of Chinese internet-connected vehicle software, hardware, and complete vehicles in the United States, initiating a security review of information and communication technology and services for Chinese drone systems, and imposing sanctions on several Chinese enterprises. Furthermore, the United States has listed multiple Chinese entities on its "Notorious Markets" list.
China expresses strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to these actions, asserting that the US approach will not hinder China's progress but will instead bolster China's resolve and capability to become self-reliant and innovative in science and technology. In response, China vows to take decisive measures to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and development interests.
