On the morning of October 28, a sudden fire erupted at the Innovation Factory of Episil Electronics, a prominent semiconductor epitaxial wafer manufacturer based in Taiwan, China, and situated within the Hsinchu Science Park. The blaze raged uncontrollably for more than three hours, fortunately resulting in no casualties. Nevertheless, preliminary assessments suggest that the property losses, encompassing machinery and equipment within the factory, could reach up to NT$130 million.
