Huawei held the “Analyst Insights: Decoding China” event at Lianqiuhu, Shanghai. During the event, Fang Xiang, President of Huawei’s Wireless Product Line, unveiled the latest breakthroughs in Huawei’s wireless baseband technology. For the first time, Huawei has integrated the concept of time-efficiency—previously introduced in Tao’s Principle—into the design of its base station products. Addressing the limitations of traditional basebands, which often struggle with incomplete computation and transmission within a single TTI (Transmission Time Interval), Huawei has optimized process timing through advanced hardware-software synergy, resulting in the OSCAR intelligent channel processing solution. Leveraging high-speed interconnection, this solution substantially boosts computational efficiency, scalability, and data access speed.
At the same time, Huawei launched its next-generation UBBPi baseband series, which enhances the average user experience by 1.3 times while cutting energy consumption by 40%. Field tests confirm a marked improvement in service quality post-deployment. This marks Huawei’s expansion of Tao’s Principle from chip-level optimization to full base station systems, promoting baseband innovation through system-wide collaboration. This strategic pivot is anticipated to shift the future competitive landscape of baseband technology from raw computational power to holistic process coordination.
