Nexchip’s Chairman, Cai Guozhi, has put forward a proposal for the company to repurchase both A-shares and H-shares. For the A-share repurchase program, the total investment is projected to fall between RMB 500 million and RMB 800 million. The maximum repurchase price for these shares will be set at 150% of the average trading price over the 30 trading days prior to the board’s review of the buyback plan. The repurchased A-shares are earmarked for employee stock ownership schemes or equity incentive programs. Regarding the H-share repurchase, the total funds allocated will range from HKD 300 million to HKD 600 million. The daily repurchase price for H-shares will not exceed 105% of the average closing price over the five trading days preceding the repurchase date. The repurchased H-shares are intended to be either canceled or held as treasury shares, with the specific approach subject to further review and approval.
