Recently, a test record of what is suspected to be Intel's Nova Lake-S desktop processor has surfaced in the PassMark database. A 28-core sample of this processor achieved a maximum single-thread score of 5210, outperforming the Core Ultra 9 285K, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, and Core i9-14900KF. Nevertheless, its multi-thread total score of 61,509, while surpassing that of the Core i9-14900KF, still lags behind the Core Ultra 9 285K and Ryzen 9 9950X3D. These results are derived from early samples of unknown origin, and neither the test conditions nor the performance of the final retail versions have been verified. Furthermore, the database includes four test records of 8-core Nova Lake-S processors, designated as embedded platforms, with a maximum single-thread score of 5085, marginally higher than the Core Ultra 9 285K, but with notable disparities in the overall CPU Mark scores. The Nova Lake-S desktop processor is anticipated to adopt a new LGA1954 socket. The 28-core version is expected to make its debut first, from late January to March 2027, followed by the K-series models from March to April, and the 16-core and 8-core versions will be released sequentially from late March to May.
