Samsung Electronics is set to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, with the ambitious aim of slashing the research and development timeline for novel semiconductor materials from the traditional five-year span to a mere two years. This strategic objective was unveiled at a seminar that centered on the integration of AI in industrial R&D, an event orchestrated by the Korea Industry Association Forum. Choi Young-sang, the leader of Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, emphasized that the incorporation of AI is also projected to amplify the pool of potential candidate materials by over five times.
