Huatai Securities has released its latest A-share strategy research report, highlighting a mixed performance in the A-share market last week. The market initially weakened before rebounding, with a notable surge in trading volume on Friday. Despite this late-week rally, major indices still ended the week slightly in the red. The A-share sentiment index dipped into pessimistic territory for the first time since August, indicating a widespread clearing-out of investor emotions. While capital inflows have provided some support to the market, persistent overseas uncertainties suggest that it will take time for trading capital to fully return and for institutional investors to adjust their positions. Therefore, the recent market dynamics should be viewed primarily as an oversold rebound in the short term. Historical data from the ChiNext market reveals that during similar oversold rebound phases, sectors such as electronics, communications, machinery, electrical equipment, and small-cap stocks typically outperform. When it comes to asset allocation, for the technology sector, it is prudent to focus on areas demonstrating sequential quarterly earnings growth and prior oversold conditions. These include printed circuit boards (PCBs), passive components, and optical modules. Thematic investments could explore opportunities in humanoid robots, the military industry, and AI applications. For non-technology sectors, areas with accelerating profitability, such as general equipment and medical services, warrant consideration.
