When confronted with procurement demands from global tech behemoths like Apple, ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), a prominent Chinese DRAM chip producer, has embraced a distinctive business approach. Latest reports indicate that CXMT has not only declined to extend price cuts to Apple but has also turned down collaboration overtures from certain foreign clients. The overarching goal is to give precedence to fulfilling the demands of the Chinese domestic market and to expedite the attainment of self-reliance and control within China's memory sector. At present, CXMT is concentrating on DDR memory, a product in high demand among domestic servers and major internet firms. Through strategic capacity allocation, it is bolstering the security of the local supply chain. Its capacity utilization rate has consistently stayed above 95%, and by 2025, it is projected to capture a 7.67% share of the global DRAM market, having forged stable supply partnerships with leading domestic companies such as Tencent and Alibaba Cloud.
