On October 22 (local time), Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, granted an interview at the GPU Technology Conference held in Berlin, Germany. When queried about the possibility of collaborating with China’s ChangXin Memory, he adopted a receptive stance. Huang remarked that virtually every global supply chain engages with Chinese companies at some juncture, highlighting China’s remarkable achievements in foundational infrastructure technology and firmly stating that no nation’s manufacturing sector can outperform China’s.
Addressing market apprehensions regarding a potential oversupply of memory, Huang expressed skepticism that such a scenario would materialize by 2029. He emphasized that the relentless growth of AI computing power will continue to fuel demand for diverse memory types.
Earlier, on October 19, during his discussion with German Chancellor Merz, Huang also underscored that China stands alone as a nation with deep-rooted expertise in both the manufacturing and computer sectors. As a frontrunner in China’s DRAM industry and the world’s fourth-largest original DRAM manufacturer, ChangXin Memory boasts comprehensive capabilities spanning the entire DRAM R&D, manufacturing, packaging, and testing lifecycle. Projections indicate that by the second quarter of 2026, its global DRAM market share—measured by revenue—will reach 10%, marking a 150% surge from the previous year.
