Hightec has introduced the CX132 PD protocol power-receiving chip, a solution that is entirely compliant with the USB PD 3.0 and 3.1 specifications. This chip can smartly interpret adapter PDO (Power Delivery Object) data, enabling it to request the suitable voltage and current levels. Additionally, it maintains backward compatibility with widely-adopted fast-charging protocols including QC (Quick Charge), AFC (Adaptive Fast Charging), SCP (Samsung Fast Charging Protocol), and FCP (Huawei Fast Charging Protocol), effectively overcoming the hurdles associated with multi-protocol compatibility. Leveraging dual-mode voltage regulation technology, which integrates resistor-based and UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter) techniques, the chip accommodates a comprehensive spectrum of development scenarios, from simple hardware implementations to sophisticated intelligent devices. Furthermore, its 42V voltage tolerance capability and remarkably low 5µA power consumption in sleep mode offer substantial design flexibility for enhancing energy efficiency and meeting safety certification requirements.
