Yunnan Chihong Zinc & Germanium has unveiled its financial results for the first three quarters, revealing that its revenue soared to RMB 1.364 billion, marking a significant year-on-year (YoY) increase of 70.71%. The net profit attributable to the parent company surged to RMB 176 million, reflecting an extraordinary YoY growth of 869.79%. Breaking it down further, the revenue for the third quarter alone reached RMB 632 million, a notable YoY increase of 134.61%. The net profit attributable to the parent company for this quarter stood at RMB 102 million, experiencing an astonishing YoY increase of 2642.24% and a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase of 56%.
This remarkable performance growth was primarily fueled by a sharp uptick in market demand for downstream AI data centers, optical communications, and other related sectors. This demand surge propelled the sales of compound semiconductor materials, particularly indium phosphide. Concurrently, the seamless fulfillment of pending contracts from the previous period also contributed to the growth in sales of material-grade germanium products. Furthermore, the company's proactive exploration of the infrared lens market resulted in increased sales of infrared-grade germanium products.
Influenced by the dynamics of market supply and demand, along with price fluctuations, the average selling prices of key products such as indium phosphide, infrared-grade germanium, and fiber-grade germanium also witnessed an uptrend.
