On October 19, the RISC-V China Summit took place in Shenzhen. During the summit, Alibaba DAMO Academy introduced its latest innovation—the automotive-grade enhanced processor, XuanTie E908A. It is reported that this marks the first RISC-V CPU IP to concurrently fulfill both ASIL-B and ASIL-D standards. Moreover, it has achieved an unprecedented Single Point Fault Metric (SPFM) exceeding 90% within the industry, setting a new benchmark.
In addition to this groundbreaking processor, DAMO Academy also, for the first time, disclosed its product roadmap for autonomous driving and embodied AI. The performance target for the upcoming next-generation XuanTie C950A has been ambitiously set at five times that of current RISC-V automotive-grade products, signaling a significant leap forward in automotive technology.
