On October 19, the RISC-V China Summit took place in Shenzhen. RISC-V, an open-source CPU instruction set architecture, is swiftly closing the gap with X86 and Arm, making inroads into lucrative sectors like AI, servers, and automotive applications. At the summit, Alibaba DAMO Academy disclosed that, through architectural advancements, software compatibility enhancements, and ecosystem partnerships, the XuanTie RISC-V processor has achieved remarkable performance leaps in Agentic AI and server domains. This breakthrough has elevated high-performance RISC-V from being just 'functional' to 'dependable,' paving the way for extensive mass production. Concurrently, DAMO Academy also unveiled a processor product roadmap tailored for autonomous driving and embodied AI, steering RISC-V towards uncharted territories.
