From October 14 to 16, the Korea Semiconductor Expo SEDEX 2026 took place at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix both presented their latest offerings. Samsung Electronics showcased its seventh-generation high-bandwidth memory HBM4E, which boasts a transfer rate of 16Gbps, marking an increase of over 20% compared to the previous generation. Additionally, Samsung exhibited its zHBM concept product along with solutions tailored for edge AI. Meanwhile, SK Hynix put forward HBF, a technology that combines the high speed of HBM with the large capacity of NAND.
