On October 15, the Hong Kong stock market opened with the Hang Seng Index down 0.8% at 24,119.14 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index down 2.21% at 4,082.06 points. The electrical equipment and semiconductor sectors were among the biggest decliners, with Birenbased Intelligence dropping over 9%. The healthcare and coal sectors led gains, with Tianxing Medical rising over 3%. Newly listed Transsion Holdings fell 0.96%.
