Peter Wennink, President and CEO of ASML, disclosed that, based on their evaluations of the magnitude and longevity of investments in artificial intelligence, customers have progressively elevated their short- and medium-term demand forecasts for ASML's equipment. As the outlook for demand becomes more defined, some clients have commenced discussions with ASML concerning equipment orders spanning from 2029 to 2030. In light of the prevailing demand patterns and the upward trajectory of order volumes, ASML foresees that its projected supply capacity for 2027 and 2028 may fall short of satisfying customer requirements. Consequently, the company is considering strategies to further augment its manufacturing capabilities in 2028, aiming for an increase that surpasses the previously stated 30% target. Simultaneously, ASML is set to enhance production efficiency through the refinement of its product lineup, thereby enabling customers to substantially elevate their wafer output.
