Commencing in October 2026, Qualcomm is set to implement a price hike of approximately 10% on its PC processors, such as the Snapdragon X/X2 Elite. This move follows a prior price increase on mobile System-on-Chips (SoCs) in September, a strategic response to the escalating costs within the supply chain. In the same month, Intel has already elevated the prices of several series of its PC processors, with increases ranging from 5% to 20%. Additionally, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has informed its clientele of a near 10% uptick in chip foundry quotations. AMD, too, is contemplating price adjustments for certain processors, though the exact percentage increase, the range of affected products, and the effective date remain pending confirmation.
