On September 30, Applied Materials announced that Kioxia has joined its 'Applied EPIC (Equipment and Process Innovation and Commercialization) Center' as an innovation partner to jointly advance the development of next-generation memory technologies. The two parties will conduct joint research at the EPIC Center on advanced memory cells and structures, multi-chip stacking architectures, and novel materials engineering methods to enhance memory density and performance required for the AI era.
