Based on TrendForce's most recent research, the demand for AI servers is on a continuous upward trajectory. This has led to a competitive scenario where HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) and Conventional DRAM (Dynamic Random-Access Memory) are vying for the limited availability of advanced manufacturing processes and wafer capacities. Considering that enhancing the yield and output of next-generation products will require a certain amount of time, the memory supply is anticipated to stay constrained in 2027. In the context of the general upward trend in memory prices, suppliers have unequivocally expressed their intention to hike HBM prices in 2027. To account for the effects of the tight supply situation, the rising share of the higher-priced HBM4 in the market, and the phased introduction of HBM4e in the latter half of 2027, TrendForce has revised its HBM price prediction for the upcoming year upwards, forecasting a 121% year-over-year increase in the Blended Average Selling Price (ASP).
