Daniel has developed a tool named DLSS-NR-on-AMD, which empowers AMD Radeon graphics cards to harness the capabilities of DLSS 5 neural rendering. Initially, this innovative solution was plagued by notable performance dips and a subpar user experience. Nevertheless, the pace of development has recently picked up momentum, ushering in substantial enhancements in performance. The unveiling of the Alpha 0.3.3 version marked a 23% uptick in performance compared to its predecessor. On the very same day, the Alpha 0.4.0 version was released, pushing the performance envelope even further with a 42% improvement over the 0.3.3 version. This culminated in an impressive overall performance boost of nearly 74% within a single day. Tests have demonstrated that, when running Cyberpunk 2077 at a resolution of 3440×1440, the frame rate can soar to 50FPS, a stark contrast to the mere 30FPS achieved with the previous version. The developer has hinted at the impending release of further updates aimed at refining performance even more.
