TSMC Intends to Revisit Longtan for Factory Setup, Giving Precedence to Processes Under 1.4 Nanometers

As per reports, TSMC is set to make a comeback to Longtan to construct a factory. Sources within the supply chain have disclosed that Longtan Science Park Phase III will place a high emphasis on advancing processes below 1.4 nanometers (A14). Initially, there are plans to construct three wafer fabrication plants. The first plant is targeted to be finished and operational for large-scale production by around 2030, with an overall investment surpassing NT$1 trillion (roughly equivalent to US$31.4 billion).
