On September 17, HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 kicked off in Shanghai, where Huawei took the wraps off its latest-generation NPO-form optical interconnect product—Hi-ONE. During his keynote address, Wang Tao, Huawei’s Deputy Chairman and Rotating CEO, introduced Hi-ONE. He highlighted that the super-node design concept is geared towards enabling multi-NPU collaboration through seamless interconnection. Leveraging Huawei’s proprietary innovation technology, Hi-ONE attains a single-engine transmission capacity of 7.2T, achieved through a well-balanced design encompassing optical, mechanical, electrical, magnetic, and thermal elements. This product stands out as the industry’s first mass-produced NPO offering and currently holds the title of the NPO product with the highest transmission capacity in the market. Additionally, it is the sole product in its category to feature an integrated light source.
