On September 15, MediaTek officially unveiled its latest flagship chip, the Dimensity 9600Pro. This cutting-edge chip is manufactured using TSMC's advanced 2nm process, marking MediaTek's inaugural foray into mobile SoCs built on this technology. In comparison to its predecessor, which employed a 3nm process, the Dimensity 9600Pro delivers a notable 14% boost in performance while simultaneously reducing power consumption by an impressive 23%. The chip boasts an AI-centric architecture, seamlessly integrating heterogeneous computing cores—including the CPU, GPU, NPU, and ISP—through a harmonious blend of hardware and software.
