The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission, has jointly released the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the Advancement of the Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry. This plan outlines a strategy to solidify the strengths of the energy electronics sector and foster simultaneous technological advancements in "photovoltaics, energy storage, terminals, and information." Key initiatives encompass enhancing the efficiency of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, pioneering next-generation high-efficiency photovoltaic cell technologies alongside their supporting equipment and materials, advancing related module and operation and maintenance technologies, and broadening the scope of "photovoltaic +" application scenarios. Concurrently, the plan aims to bolster innovation capabilities throughout the entire industrial chain of new battery types, reinforce the dominant position of lithium batteries, propel the industrialization of solid-state batteries, encourage their intelligent, eco-friendly, and integrated development, and diversify their application domains. Furthermore, it will expedite the research and development of pivotal power electronics technologies, enhance the supply capacity of core components, and elevate the integrated control level of energy storage systems.
