Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the National Development and Reform Commission, jointly unveiled the "15th Five-Year Plan" for the Advancement of the Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry. This plan distinctly underscores an integrated strategy for the development of both space-based and ground-based systems. It emphasizes the need to bolster research on pivotal technologies for direct satellite terminals, foster the creation of lightweight, energy-efficient, and cost-effective terminals, and broaden the scope of innovative applications—such as direct mobile-to-satellite connectivity—to hasten the extensive application and widespread adoption of satellite internet.
