The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly released the '15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Electronic Information Manufacturing Industry'. The plan emphasizes the need to promote the high-end development of electronic components and electronic materials, fostering industrial synergy between the two. For key sectors such as artificial intelligence, next-generation information and communication, aerospace, and intelligent terminals, the plan proposes accelerating the research and development of mature, reliable, and widely applicable industrial foundation products. At the same time, it supports the upgrading of electronic components towards high-frequency, high-speed, highly integrated, and highly reliable directions, and promotes breakthroughs in key materials such as high-performance electronic functional materials, in order to enhance product quality stability, reliability, and consistency, and meet the development needs of complete machines and systems. Additionally, the plan proposes establishing upstream and downstream dock (which means 'docking' or 'connection' in English, but kept as is for HTML format retention) platforms, supporting the construction of pilot platforms and application verification centers for electronic components and electronic materials to promote product innovation. Meanwhile, it leverages the connecting role of the international trading centers for electronic materials, electronic components, and integrated circuits to drive the development of the electronic distribution industry and enhance the supply chain's resilience to risks.
