On September 14, influenced by reports that three major AI players—Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI—urged a deceleration in the development pace of advanced models, AI chip stocks experienced a broad-based decline across Japan, South Korea, and the U.S. night session. This downturn subsequently dragged down Hong Kong-listed memory chip concept stocks, causing them to open significantly lower. Notably, the CSOP SK Hynix Daily Leveraged (2x) Product plummeted by over 13%, while the CSOP Double Short Samsung Electronics dropped more than 8%. Jiangbo Long fell by 3%, and both Montage Technology and GigaDevice saw declines close to 3%. In the Japanese and South Korean stock markets, SoftBank Group's shares once dipped by more than 12%, Kioxia's by nearly 10%, SK Hynix's by over 6%, and Samsung Electronics' by almost 4%.
