As per reports, on September 2, 2026, Samsung Electro-Mechanics made an announcement that it had entered into a long-term supply pact worth 1.07 trillion won (roughly equivalent to RMB 5.254 billion) with a prominent global tech firm. The agreement is for the supply of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) to be utilized in artificial intelligence servers. The contract duration is one year, running from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027. This particular order stands as the largest single long-term MLCC supply contract ever secured in the history of Samsung Electro-Mechanics.
