While Microsoft has extended the comprehensive support timeline for Windows 10 until October 2027 via the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, this move provides minimal benefit to the gaming community. NVIDIA has officially announced that it will cease releasing new GeForce Game Ready drivers for Windows 10 after October 2026, with security updates continuing only until October 2029. Consequently, from November 2026 onwards, Windows 10 users will be deprived of the latest gaming optimizations and feature enhancements, potentially encountering performance degradation or graphical anomalies in newly released games. It is also plausible that other hardware vendors and chipmakers may follow suit, progressively scaling back their support for Windows 10.
