Qualcomm has revealed that, effective September 1, there will be a substantial, double-digit price surge for its chip products. Back in July, the company proactively informed its customers that chips dispatched after September 1 would be priced according to the new rates. In an interview with Reuters, Cristiano Amon, the Chief Executive Officer, explained that with supplier costs steadily climbing, Qualcomm can no longer shoulder the escalating expenses on its own. This price adjustment is a strategic move to transfer the notably increasing costs onto its customers.
