According to a report by Counterpoint Research, driven by the demand for AI chips, the global pure-play foundry market saw a 29% year-on-year growth in the second quarter. Among them, TSMC secured the top position globally for the second consecutive quarter with a 73% market share, Samsung ranked second with a 7% share, and SMIC came in third with a 5% share.
