At the routine press conference held in August, Li Chao, the Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office at the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), announced that from January to July this year, the investment in the integrated circuit manufacturing sector witnessed an 11.5% year-on-year increase, underscoring its robust growth trajectory. During the first half of the year, leading domestic wafer foundries sustained a capacity utilization rate surpassing 90%. A gradual release of various process capacities ensued, effectively catering to the manufacturing requirements for diverse chip types, encompassing automotive-grade and industrial-grade chips. This demonstrates a pronounced upward trend in both production and sales.
